It's as if the Met is trying to let the PM off the hook

How long would it take you to read 500 pages and look at 300 photos? For work, I mean? I reckon I could do it in a morning. Maybe I might need an hour after lunch as well. If you're a Met police team, apparently it takes weeks.
It was a brilliant tactic by the Met: put your most inoffensive, drippy-looking officer on the TV news to make the ludicrous claim that 500 pages ("a ream and a half" -- oh, God, not a whole ream and a half!) and 300 photos represents a lot of work, and it will take the viewer several moments to register what a disgracefully disingenuous claim it is. In fact I expect many viewers who for some reason trust the Met accepted it without stopping to think about how laughable it was.
Q How long does it take the Met to do a tiny amount of work?
A Just long enough to let the PM get away with it.
